Having an email forwarder is important if you want to have an organized solution for receiving email sent to your domain. It allows you to receive emails and automatically forward them to an email address of your choosing.

Example: Your high-traffic website, www.example.com, has a subdomain called info@example.com where the users will send their emails to. However, you want those emails to go instead to an email address called example@gmail.com. An email forwarder would take all the emails sent to info@example.com, and instead send them to example@gmail.com.

How to set up an email forwarder:

  1. In order to set up a mail forwarder, you must have a Sitelutions Space Account

  2. From the Sitelutions Space and Control Center, log into CPanel.

  3. Go to the Email section and click “Forwarders”

  4. Click “Add Forwarder”

  5. Here you can select which address you wish to forward, and you have the option to either specify another email address to send the forwarded mail to, or discard all mail sent to the first address and return an error to the sender.

Note: CPanel also gives you the option to set up a Domain Forwarder, which, in addition to forwarding individual mail accounts, allows you to forward all email from one domain to another.
