Setting up Add-on Domains for Hosting Account

Please follow these directions and/or watch the video for information on creating and verifying your account. Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJYBooEhBec&index=7&list=PL1lJ3G08FMO3p3pRqBbyz_bZPeqt_u5qb

If you wish to manage multiple domains with your Sitelutions Space account, you need to configure add-on domains on top of your primary domain. You can only use domains that have already been added to your Sitelutions account. This is good if you don’t mind managing several domains on the same interface and want to save a little money by not purchasing multiple hosting accounts.

  1. To configure an add-on domain, go to the Sitelutions Space and Control Panel. Here you will go to where it says “Addon Domains” and click the button that says “Configure”

  2. You will need to select which account you would like to add the domain to (Sitelutions software automatically includes an implied "www" before every host you add. Therefore, if you add "newdomain.com", it also configures "www.newdomain.com.")

  3. In your Sitelutions Space account directory, select where your add-on domain will point to. PLEASE NOTE: When you add the host, we will automatically configure DNS records for this host, this host prefixed by "www," and the directory_name_you_choose.example. WARNING: Any existing DNS records for these names will be deleted and overwritten.

  4. Once you click “Add host/domain”, you can see what it’s host/domain name is, where it’s located in the sub-directory, and where it maps to

  5. If you log into your Space Account, you will see the new domain under the public_html folder. You will be able to visit it at both www.newdomain.com and newdomain.primarydomain.com.

  6. You will be able to use CPanel to modify your addon domains the same way that you modify your primary domain.

(Note: the amount of add-on domains you are able to add will depend on the hosting package that you use.)
